NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a casual vacancy has occurred in the office of Parish Councillor for Aldercar & Langley Mill Parish Council following the cessation of office of:
ALEX STEVENSON
under Section 85 of the Local Government Act 1972 due to failure to attend meetings
of the Council for a period of six consecutive months.
An election to fill the vacancy will be held if, within 14 working days (excluding
Saturdays, Sundays, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Good Friday, Bank Holidays
and any day appointed for public thanksgiving or mourning) from the date of this
notice, a request for an election is made in writing by ten local government electors
for the parish and delivered to:
Simon Gladwin, Proper Officer, Amber Valley Borough Council, Town Hall, Market
Place, Ripley DE5 3BT
If no such request is made, the vacancy will be filled by co-option by Aldercar &
Langley Mill Parish Council.
